AIDIN Robotics of Anyang, South Korea, was founded in 2019 as a spin-off from Sungkyunkwan University and specialises in force/torque and tactile sensors; Samsung Next is among its investors. Building on that sensing expertise the company developed the AIDIN-Hand Gen1 with 15 motors and a six-axis force sensor in every fingertip, which remained a research prototype.
Its successor, the AIDIN Hand Gen2 with 16 degrees of freedom, 20 kg load, a palm tactile sensor and a CAN-FD SDK, was shown at AW 2026 and is announced for 2026. The company does not publish prices.
