Seed Robotics

Seed Robotics was founded in 2015 by Marco Prata and Pedro Ramilo and has been based in Lisbon since 2020. The company builds under-actuated research hands in which a small number of smart actuators with their own processors move a much larger number of joints: the child-size RH6D with six actuators and the adult-size RH8D with eight, including a spherical wrist.

Every actuator reports position, speed, current and temperature, and the hands speak the Dynamixel protocol, which eases integration with existing platforms; FTS tactile sensors are available as an option. Customers are universities and teams building humanoids. In the catalogue: RH6D, RH8D.
