Prensilia S.r.l.

Prensilia S.r.l. in Pontedera was founded in 2009 as a spin-off of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa and has built anthropomorphic hands for research and prosthetics ever since.

Two products make up the range: the IH2 Azzurra, a self-contained research hand with five motors and eleven degrees of freedom that the company says is used in more than thirty research centres, and the lighter Mia Hand with three motors, sold as a prosthesis, an industrial gripper and a research platform with ROS packages.

The company has secured investment for further growth. Prices for both hands are on request; the website is prensilia.com.
