Founded in 2024 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, mimic Robotics AG does not build full humanoids. Instead it pairs its own AI-driven dexterous robotic hands with off-the-shelf industrial arms from other makers, aiming at industrial jobs that demand precise manipulation. In late 2025 the company closed a seed round of USD 16 million (some sources give it as EUR 13.8 million).
That is modest next to the rounds raised by the Chinese humanoid rivals covered alongside it, but typical for a tightly focused Swiss hardware-and-AI startup. No model is assigned to the company yet: the offering is still a technology or component, not a finished product with a spec sheet. A commercial presence in Poland, or in continental Europe beyond Switzerland, has not been confirmed.
A business model built around a component rather than a complete robot could, over time, attract arm makers looking for ready-made gripping technology.
