TorchKernel Robotics (炬坤机器人)

TorchKernel Robotics is a Hangzhou start-up founded by Dong Huixu, formerly of the Zhejiang University grasping lab. The company develops its own cup motors and builds two five-finger hands on them: the industrial TORCH HAND 1 with up to 40 kg payload and piezoresistive pressure pads, and the lightweight TORCH HAND 2 with 320 dual-mode taxels aimed at humanoids and labs.

According to Hangzhou press coverage from September 2026, small-series production is planned for the end of 2026, which is why both models carry pilot status. Prices are not published; the company takes purchase enquiries.
