Orbotix Industries is a Warsaw deep-tech startup founded in 2023 by Bogdan Ochiana (Romania) and Sebastian Straube (Poland). It builds autonomous drone systems for the European defense sector: the ATA (Autonomous Target Acquisition) reconnaissance and targeting system and the Wasper-1 drone swarm platform.
The company operates in Poland, Romania, Spain and Ukraine, and in October 2025 it raised EUR 6.5 million to speed up work on swarm technology. It is not a classic maker of ground or humanoid robots but a player from the adjacent segment of drones and autonomous systems for defense, an area in which Poland has invested heavily since 2022.
